Comparative analysis of mineral concentration of surface water and underground water was carried out using WHO standard method for water testing. The water samples were collected from well and stream and were analyzed in the laboratory for mineral concentrations. The concentration of some minerals like Nitrates (NO3), Sulphate (SO3) Chloride Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg) of the water samples were also tested. The NO3 concentration in stream water was 1.4mg/L while well water had 6.9mg/L. The stream water sample had a SO3 concentration of 198.2mg/L as well had 96.8mg/L. Chloride content of the two samples (Well and stream) were 886.5mg/L and 638.28mg/L respectively. Stream water had a Calcium concentration of 150mg/L while in well water, it was 110mg/L. Magnesium concentration of the water samples were 96mg/L and 145mg/L respectively for stream water and well water. There was discrepancy between the results obtained and the WHO standard when compared but stream water proved closer to the standard than the well water. Therefore stream water recommended concrete pond creation for fish
