ABSTRACT
This research was carried out to examine the effects of social environment on academic performances of students in Olorunda Local Government Area of Osun State. The sample for this study was selected from ten selected junior secondary schools in the area where ten students were chosen at random from J.S.S.1, J.S.S.2, and J.S.S. 3, making a total of one hundred students. The instrument used for collection of data was the questionnaire which contained both structured and open-ended questions. Data collected was analyzed by the use of percentages, and frequency distribution tables to determine the distribution of the respondents based on different relevant variables identified in the collected data.
