ABSTRACT
This study is an attempt to discuss relevance of gift and exchange. This research was designed to examine the operation of the survey of gift and exchange library University of Nigeria in Lagos State.
A combination of interview and observation techniques have been adopted in the data collection in carrying out this research efforts have been made to give recommendation to the encountered problem and to ensure that the collected data is useful for the purpose if it was done.

This research is designed to examine the impact of academic libraries on student research in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka as a case study.
Infact the purpose of the study are to find out the Impact of academic libraries on student to know achievement and role played by academic libraries on student research work to determine their relevance of service rendered by them, the need to establish a well organized library in every higher institution.
