Chapter one of Computerization Of Chamber Record Keeping System

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

  • INTRODUCTION

The use of computer has technically been developed in many fields with their utilization becoming include chamber record keeping system.

Chamber record contains summarized information of the chamber. Though record do not ensure your chamber will be successful, success is unlikely without them. Chamber records are like report card that students receive in school. With a Chamber record card, one can tell how you have managing its organization/operations compared with other organization in  ”class “. One will able to see the strengths and weakness of your chamber operations.

Today, there are numerous commercial software programs that can do excellent

  • AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aim of the study was to shed light on the computerization of a chamber record system other objectives include:

  1. To state the advantages of computer in the chamber recording system.
  2. To know the relevant application software to be used in chamber record system.
  • To state the accuracy that exists in using computer over the manual system of record keeping in the chamber.
    • SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The project was aimed at presenting a simple and clear method of an automated chamber record keeping system. It serves to administer such system in plain and simple method with quick computation and report system.

  • METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY

The method of data collection used in the study was interview and questionnaire method.

Some staffs of a chamber were interviewed on the basic operations of the chamber system of record keeping.

Some notes on the problems associated to the present system of record keeping which brought about the idea of the proposed system. Library materials were also consulted as a form of research.

  • SCOPE AND LIMITATION

The scope of this project work is on the “Automated Chamber Record Keeping System”. There are various sections under the chamber record system and each section has their operational roles which are being contributed into the achievements of the record system common (central) goals.

It covers the uses of computer and electronic technologies as a substitute for checks and balance and other paper transactions manually used in a chamber.

However, this project work totally eliminates all the manual operations in the chamber system of record keeping.

  • ORGANISATION OF THE REPORT

This project is segmented into five distinct chapters. Chapter one describes the introduction, aims and objectives, significance of the study, research methodology, scope and limitation as well as the organization of the report.

The second chapter talks about the literature review, history of chamber system, service and operation of a chamber and the problems encountered.

The third chapter deals with the method of gathering data, analysis of the existing system, problems of the existing system, description and the advantages of the proposed system.

The forth chapter deals with the design of the system which entails the output, Input, database and procedure design of the system, the implementation comprises of the hardware and software support while the documentation comprises of the program documentation, operating the system, maintaining the system

The last chapter deals with the summary experienced gained, conclusion and recommendation.
