Design And Implementation Of Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application
Abstract of Design And Implementation Of Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application
In today’s growing market many businesses are turning toward automated systems to perform their everyday tasks. Automated systems can replace the cost and time consuming processes that were once completed by hand while providing companies with more accurate data. One automated system that is becoming more popular is the automated inventory system. This system is used to track the merchandise and goods of retail stores, grocery stores, hardware stores, etc. this project design and implement an Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application using PHP programming language and Mysql database system.

chapter 1 of Design And Implementation Of Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application
- INTRODUCTION
Business management has over the years developed and advanced simultaneously with developments in computer technology and applications. Business owners are now seeking effective, faster, and cost-saving means of managing their firm in order to meet the great demand and service required by their customers. One of the recent technological strides adopted by business owners is the automated inventory control system.
Inventory systems provide easy means of managing and locating commodities and items in a shop or supper-market. An inventory control system may be used to automate a sales order fulfillment process. Such a system contains a list of order to be filled, and then prompts workers to pick necessary items, and provides them with packaging and shipping information.
Finally with the continued use of developments and upgrade of computer applications, the inventory control system has been designed to contain an alarm-based system that allows the recorder or store keeper to discover quickly which of his/her product is been purchased often and as a result which of the items is running out of stock. This development has eliminated the pain of manually taking stock of commodity and keeping tab of which item in the store is currently short and requires a re-order.
1.2 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
In a sales organization, one of the major activities is stock control and management. The financial well-being of a business revolves around the buying and selling activities are recorded, if an entrepreneur fails to provide accurate analysis for his/her stock, there is great tendency of a business loss because such entrepreneur cannot create a balance between his income, expenses and profit or loss as the case may seem. Processing of information has been made a lot easier with the advent of computer programs which enable such manipulations. This project work will seek to develop an Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application control system that will be useful in keeping update of stock in any pharmacy outfit.
1.3 OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
The objective of this project work is to design and develop an Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application, this alarm based inventory system to be developed will be able to provide a prompt when stock of a particular product is less and as such allow the manager the opportunity to reorder for the particular product before it finally runs out of the entire stock.
1.4 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The development of our Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application proposed in this project work can be implemented for use in a pharmacy, e.t.c. Also this system will help provide a stock report for the organization in order to easily have a sales and ordering balance at the end a particular period of sales.
1.5 SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY
The Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application to be developed will provide quick prompt for the user when stock has reach a particular limit that the available stock of such commodity cannot be able to meet customers demand. This project work will explain the design process of creating an inventory system and also show how database ma
1.6 METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY
In the development of our Alarm Based Pharmacy Inventory Application javascript and php programming language were used while deploying Adobe fireworks CS 5 for the interface design coupled with HTML.
Our backend design was done with the sql language and database chosen is mysql database.
1.7 ORGANISATION OF THE REST STUDY
Chapter two contains the literature review, chapter three is the system analysis and design, chapter four gives an analysis of the system implementation and discussion, finally, chapter five containsthe conclusion, recommendations
