ABSTRACT
This research project is the positive impact of consumer cooperative towards revamping economy with a case study of consumer cooperative in Owerri West Local Government Area Imo State. The ultimate objective of this study is to critically examine the concept and positive impact which consumer cooperative play in promptly revamping the Nigeria economy in consumer cooperative in Owerri West Local Government Area in Imo State. A survey research was used fro this study the questioners analyzed and converted to government area continues to exist because of the unfair price charges by the middlemen which was beyond the reach of income earners. However the various consumer cooperative societies in consumer cooperative in Owerri West came as a result of encouraging product quality improvement and actual price. Furthermore because of the above irregularity together looked for a way to improve their standard of living.
