ABSTRACT

This study investigated the influence of alcohol on academic performance of secondary school students in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State. In carrying out the research, questionnaire was designed and employed in data collection.

Based on data collected, test and analysis made, it was revealed that there is significant difference in alcohol drinking between the students of Co-Education and Non-Co-Education schools. It was reveal that there is great significance difference in the drinking habit between boys and girls. There is great gap in academic performance of those students that do not drink as compare to those that drink.
