1.1 Background of the study
Many millions, if not billion of people will be able to use a range of convenient, accessible, and dependable financial instruments for the first time in the not-too-distant future, regardless of their proximity to traditional financial institutions. According to Global Findex database (2017), nearly 1.7 billion individuals remain unbanked without an account at a financial institution or through a mobile money provider.
