INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the study
Children's violence is a public health, human rights, and societal issue that has the potential to be catastrophic and expensive. [Biehler,2004] Globally, levels of violence against children are alarmingly high, with up to 1 billion children aged 2 to 17 years believed to have been victims of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse or neglect. [Jashari,2007] All kinds of violence against individuals under the age of 18 are considered child abuse, whether committed by parents or other caregivers, peers, partners, or strangers.
